“Personally, I’d rather make out with a cactus.” Duo said seriously.
“Uhhhh, does my breath really smell -that- bad??” Solo smells his own breath.
Duo blinked at him, “Um... I was talking about the so-called ‘sexy-lead-role’ in this movie... I would totally make out with you over them.” He paused blushing and cleared his throat before giving Solo a strange questioning look. “...do you want to make out with me?”
“Woah woah woah! Brothers dude!” Then he tackle hugs and cuddles close.
“Oh thank God! I was really weirded out there for a sec!” Duo got out as he was tackled into the couch. He hugged Solo back with a grin.
Solo pulls Duo back so he’s reclining on Solos chest and starts playing with Duos hair. “You kept it long”
“Well yeah.” Duo settled over his brother comfortably practically purring as the man played with his hair. “Why wouldn’t I?”
“I dunno. Seems a little bit of a hazard in your occupation” He brings the tail around and tickles Duo under the nose with it. “Whatcha been up to anyways?”
“Heh heh, nah, I’ve learned to live with it. It’s my signature thing y’know.” He batted his hair and Solo’s hand away from his face, “Not much, stole a Gundam, saved the world a couple a times. Now I just do random jobs from the Preventers, Howard and the Sweepers, and Hilde.” He shrugged his shoulders and then spoke in a small voice, “I’m sorry I wasn’t there for you. I thought I’d lost everyone.”
Solo smacks him on the top of the head. “None of that. You didn’t know. ‘sides, you’re here now, to help me adjust. That’s what’s important” Solo shakes his head, causing his bangs to sweep across his face. “When I saw that black metal monster of yours, I knew it had ta be you. My little Duo, kickin’ major Ozzie ass. I’m proud of you, kiddo.”
Duo winced at the smack but a soft smile spread across his face at learning Solo was proud of him. “Thanks.” He finagled his arms backwards to wrap around Solo’s waist, “I’m glad you’re here.”
Solo kisses him lightly on the forehead. “It’s good ta be back.” He sits in silence for a while, just content to hold his brother. “We should go do somethin. I’m bored!”
Duo laughs at that, “Well, what would you like to do?”
“Dunno. What is there to do around here?”
“That’s a good question.” Duo thinks about if for a long moment. “Well there are clubs we could try, or we could go hang out at that new park they created a month or so ago. I don’t know, L2′s still pretty lame.”
Solo bites his lip, “Let’s skip the clubs. The park sounds good to me.” They start walking there. Every so often, people acknowledge Solo (Sometimes a wave or a head nod, other times a ‘Hello’ or a grunt, a few times a scowl).
“Dude, now I feel all left out. Like everyone knows you or remembers you.” Duo said taking stock of all the acknowledgements Solo was getting. “I just maybe get glared at.”
“Well, I did spend more time here than you.” He laughs. They walk across a bridge and Solo stops to look down at the fish in the pond.
Duo stops with him a grin spreading across his face, “Guess you’ve got a point.”
